On Saturday, the office of Israeli President Reuven Rivlin announced that an employee of his residence had been infected with the emerging coronavirus (Covid 19).
"Those in charge of the Israeli president's residence have been informed that one of his employees has been tested positive for Corona virus," Rivlin's office said in a statement.
He added, "Consultations are taking place with the officials of the Israeli Ministry of Health concerned with the staff who will be required to submit to quarantine after this injury is confirmed."
The office of the Israeli President continued: "Consultations are being held with the Ministry on the implications of Rivlin," while not clarifying whether he will be subjected to a Corona examination or a quarantine.
This is the first time that cases of Corona virus have been discovered at the Israeli President's residence.
Earlier, it was announced that 3 of the bodyguards of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had been wounded in Corona.
The announcement coincided with the warning of officials at the Israeli Ministry of Health, against the high number of people infected with the virus since the beginning of this month after the sharp decline during the past month.
Israel has recorded 177 new cases of Coronavirus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 18,972 cases, according to a statement of the Israeli Ministry of Health.
And the Israeli Ministry of Health said in a statement today, Saturday, that the number of deaths remained at 300 cases.
